Dates : From wednesday october 22th to friday november 11th 2005
Place : Burkina Faso
Few informations : In September 2005, we are contacted to fly around Burkina with a hot-air balloon for the presidential campain. Two weeks later we arrived at Ouagadougou for 15 flights on different régions. The welcome we received at each flight is fantastic, Burkinabé people gave us a real festival at each landing. Our partner, giving us freedom to carry out the service as well as possible, let us organize the flights by ourselves. This confidence and this reception encouraged us to realize more than the double of flights. When we finished our service, we were received by Mr Salif DIALLO, Minister for the Agriculture, which gave us bronzes, witnesses his recognition. We will never be able ourselves, to give equivalents to pleasure we received when flying in Burkina Faso.
Dates : From wednesday march, 5th to Monday march 10th 2003
Place : Pierre Saint-Martin pit (south-west of Pau, Pyrénées Atlantiques)
Few informations : The French basement has cavities with exceptional and often unsuspected dimensions as the pit of Pierre Saint Martin whose dimensions are impresionnantes: 180 m in height, 240 m length and 200 m large! In such a large natural cavity, why not have a hot-air balloon flying? Afterwards many adventures, the balloon flew vertically in this vast underground room. In addition to the technical prowess, this captive flight made it possible to obtain new images. Indeed, the burner provides an exceptional lighting since it illuminated the interior of the envelope of the balloon which clarified in its turn the strange landscape of the underground pit. This potential of spectacular images was then exploited for the realization of a film and a report photographs news.
Why ? : Have an equilibrist on top of a balloon during a flight
Dates : Staurday, july 7th 2001
Place : Besse (Massif Central)
Few informations : During the festival of water, an equilibrist made a flight on the top of one of the balloons symbolizing the balance of humanity on a water drop!! The most perilous moment was takeoff since at this time there, the balloon is horizontal ! Once in flight, in the absence of relative wind (the balloon moves at the same speed as wind), the equilibrist could carried out all kinds of acrobatics, without passing through the envelope.
Why ? : Have a hot-air balloon take-off from a lake
Dates : Staurday, july 5th 2000
Place : Lac Pavin (south of Besse, Massif Central)
Few informations : Usually, the inflation of a hot-air balloon before its takeoff is made in the middle of the fields… but within the framework of the festival of water the idea came to us to make take off a balloon from the surface of a lake!
Few informations : P.Clavery from Guerrilla Productions imagined tohave two small houses flying fixed on two balloons of 6000m3 and 4500 m3 in order to produce the clip of Jane Birkin “à la legere”. The nacelles' preparation decorated by two small houses requires many working hours, but the true exploit appeared when it was necessary to film from one balloon to another in flight!
Why ? : Replace the tarditionnal basket by a horse !
Dates : June 1999
Place : Bailleau-Armenonville (Beauce)
Few informations : Frederic Ragot one is impassioned of horse and hot-air balloons which gave the name to his company : Air-Pegasus. In order to combine its two passions, it carried out a natural horse size out of composite materials and used this like nacelle. Useless to say police was waiting for him at landing following complaints of people having declared that it was inadmissible to attach the animals of the kind !
