DISCOVER THE CASTLE OF MAINTENON FROM THE SKY
The Château de Maintenon was built at the beginning of the 16th century, on the site of a former fortified castle, of which only the square tower remains. Mostly built in the Louis XII style, it has been listed as a historical monument since July 1944. The famous gardener of King Louis XIV, André Le Nôtre, was sent to Maintenon to draw up the plans for the château’s park. At the back of the park, you can see the Maintenon aqueduct, built in 1683 by Vauban, at the request of his sovereign, to bring the waters of the Eure to Versailles. It was never completed. The château is fronted by pretty French gardens. We take off from a field bordering the park, with a superb view of the aqueduct.
In a hot-air balloon, you can stroll at the rhythm of the wind to discover a part of this magnificent valley. The Eure, a French river, has its source in the natural region of the Perche and flows through the departments of Orne, Eure-et-Loir, Eure and Seine-Maritime, passing under the castle of Maintenon, the aqueduct and the small neighbouring villages: Saint-Piat, Jouy and Saint-Prest. A rural and bucolic route, dotted with mills, wash houses and magnificent buildings. Not forgetting a panoramic finish in Chartres guided by the spires of Notre-Dame de Chartres cathedral.

A spiritual Mecca since the Middle Ages, it is one of the best-preserved Gothic cathedrals and has a unique collection of medieval stained glass windows, making Chartres the capital of stained glass.

You can purchase the flight of your choice online on our website. You will then receive a confirmation of your purchase by email, in which you are invited to choose the date of your flight. We will then come back to you to confirm or not the date (and if necessary propose a new one). As flights are weather dependent, we will contact you the day before the date you have chosen to confirm the flight for the following day. Don’t worry, if the weather is not good, we will quickly reschedule a date together. Your ticket is valid for 2 years!
